We deliver every gradeMulch Organics Sand
Sand is loose grains of weathered rock, mostly quartz, sized between about 0.05 mm and 2 mm across. Landscape and garden sand gets washed and screened so the fines and small pebbles come out. What's left is a clean, gritty pile that drains fast and doesn't clump up when you water it. In a garden or organics context, it's the coarse, mineral part you mix into soil to open it up.
You'll see it sold under names like mason sand, play sand, or all-purpose sand, and the differences come down to how it's screened, washed, and how sharp the grains are. Coarser, sharper sand drains better and works well in raised beds, under pavers, or as a soil amendment for clay. Finer sand packs tighter and shows up in sandboxes, lawn top-dressing, and mortar. Price runs low compared to crushed rock, usually $20 to $50 a yard by the truckload in most markets.

How to choose within mulch organics sand
How much depth
2 to 3 inches is the sweet spot. Deeper starves the roots; thinner lets weeds through.
Color hold
Dyed mulches keep their color for a season, sometimes two. Natural mulch fades to grey within a few months.
Fine vs. coarse
Fine mulch breaks down into soil faster. Coarse mulch lasts longer and stays put on a slope.
