1/4 minus river rock is crushed gravel graded from 1/4" down to fines — the fine-textured cousin of our 3/4 minus, built for finish work. It compacts into a firm, smooth, stable surface that makes it the best pick for pathways and the leveling course under pavers and retaining walls. The crushed aggregate and fines bind tight, so what you rake flat stays flat. One cubic yard weighs approximately 2,200 lbs. Hello Gravel delivers it in bulk by dump truck across Salem and the Willamette Valley.

Hello Gravel cared more about the structural integrity of my house than they did about making the sale. I was trying to place an order to buy dirt to place between a retaining wall and footings at the base of columns that hold up my house. They could have just sold me anything for profit, but they told me to go get the advice of a structural engineer, knowing that the structural engineer would probably order the dirt himself and possibly from another company. That’s integrity.
