Local Insights
Edgerton, with a city population of 2,410, sits inside a broader regional market that supports projects across a metro area population of 2.5+ million. A modest growth rate of 0.40% annually points to steady, incremental construction and landscape demand—more renovation, maintenance, and targeted new builds than rapid speculative development. That steady pace favors durable, cost-effective bulk materials that deliver long-term performance. Edgerton’s climate and geography—hardiness zone 8b, about 228 sunny days per year, and annual rainfall of 34.25 inches—shape practical choices: homeowners often need aggregates and soil blends that improve drainage, resist erosion, and establish plant beds suited to sunny, moderately wet conditions. Across patios, driveways, grading, and garden projects, consistent regional sourcing and reliable delivery of sand, dirt, gravel, mulch, and stone make it easier to get the right product for each application.

While I cannot speak to the actual service, I did enter my phone number to get a quote. I realized it was probably too much for my small project. But I received a very helpful follow up text conversation, and after I explained it was probably more than I needed, they still took time to help me work through how much I would need, and offered me possible solutions, even knowing I wouldn't be using their product. Makes me wish they had fit my needs, if that's the level of service they provided even to a non customers

Just a little hiccup in the delivery date but everything worked out well and with great communication from Janel. Ordering went smoothly as well as working with the delivery team to deliver to the appropriate location for my yard.

Choose materials based on function, budget, and appearance. For load-bearing areas and driveways pick coarser, compactable aggregates; for patios and play areas consider finer sand mixes or screened materials. Remember regional sourcing means gravel, sand, dirt, stone can vary in color and texture here, so request photos or samples and use our material quiz for guidance.
Measure the area (length x width x depth) to get cubic feet, divide by 27 to convert to cubic yards, then use a material-specific conversion to tons because density varies. Our online material calculator can do this for you and the team can help confirm estimates. Keep in mind our minimum order is 3 tons and it is easier to slightly over-order than to place a second delivery.
Estimate cost by calculating volume (length x width x depth), converting to tons, and multiplying by the local price per ton for the type of material you want. Prices in Edgerton vary by material, depth, and seasonal demand, so use our quote tool or request a local estimate for a more accurate number. Remember to factor in delivery fees, any spreading services, and site prep when budgeting.
Local supply, seasonal demand, and truck distance all influence price per ton in this area. Material type and grade also matter, and regional geology means similar products may cost differently than in other cities. For an up-to-date price, check our online quotes or contact our sales team for a tailored estimate.
Plan deliveries at least 2 business days ahead for standard service; next-day delivery may be available for orders placed before noon CST for an extra fee. Also consider weather and ground conditions—avoid delivery when the ground is frozen or saturated to prevent rutting and difficulty with placement. Choose a delivery date on the checkout calendar and let us know any access issues in the Order Notes.
Drivers may be able to perform tailgate spreading at their discretion, and you can request it at checkout. The driver will assess safety and practicality on arrival, but there are no guarantees of spreading services. If you need guaranteed spreading or precise grading, plan to hire a landscaper or equipment operator.
Ensure there is clear truck access, room for turning, and a stable place to dump; note overhead wires, gates, and narrow driveways in your Order Notes. Keep vehicles and landscaping out of the drop area and mark any fragile features to avoid damage. If access is limited, contact our team so we can match you with a supplier and hauler experienced with similar jobs.
Edgerton's local geology and climate affect drainage needs, freeze-thaw performance, and color or texture of materials. For example, wetter areas need materials that drain well; cold seasons can influence timing and compaction needs. We source regionally, so expect natural variation and ask for guidance if you have specific performance or aesthetic requirements.
Buy in larger quantities to lower the per-ton delivery cost, consolidate multiple small jobs into one delivery, and schedule during off-peak times if possible. Compare quotes from local suppliers through our platform and choose a material that meets performance needs without overspecifying. Keep in mind transport distance and minimum order size when planning to save money.
Contact our customer service as soon as possible with your order number so we can try to assist before the order is processed or dispatched. Modifications and cancellations depend on the order status and supplier policies, and we will do our best to accommodate requests. For delivery issues or material concerns, report them promptly so we can work toward a satisfactory resolution.
