I work for an industrial construction company that deals with a lot of civil work, and I'm very accustomed to building a proper base with specific materials on projects we work on. Limestone products range from #4 (1.5 inches) down to #8910 (fine screenings). Larger sizes are for drainage and structural fill, mid-sizes for driveways and surfaces, and fines for compacted bases and leveling.
Limestone starts light gray and may develop a slightly warmer patina over time. It generally maintains its clean, professional appearance for years with minimal maintenance.
