Natural Screenings in a 3/8” Size Range

Natural screenings in a 3/8" size range are finely crushed stone byproducts, typically produced during the processing of larger aggregates. These screenings consist of small, angular particles that pass through a 3/8" screen, resulting in a material that is finer than traditional gravel but coarser than sand. The "natural" attribute means the material is unwashed and retains its original mineral composition, offering a more organic appearance and texture.




The 3/8" size makes these screenings ideal for creating a compact, stable base layer in a variety of applications. They are commonly used for setting pavers, flagstone patios, walkways, and as a leveling material under concrete slabs. In landscaping, natural screenings are valued for their ability to fill gaps and lock larger stones in place, while still allowing for some drainage. Pros include excellent compaction, affordability, and versatility.
