Screenings in a 1.25” Size Range

Screenings in a 1.25" size range are finely crushed stone byproducts produced during the screening and crushing of larger aggregates. This material consists of small, angular particles that are typically less than 1.25" in diameter, resulting in a dense, compactable product.




The 1.25" size range offers a balance between fine and coarse particles, making these screenings ideal for creating a stable base layer in a variety of construction projects. Their compactability makes them especially useful for sub-bases under pavers, walkways, patios, and driveways, as well as for filling voids between larger stones. While screenings provide excellent stability and reduce shifting, they may not offer optimal drainage compared to larger, more open-graded aggregates. This makes them best suited for applications where a solid, level surface is required rather than areas needing high permeability.
