Local Insights
Reva (population 2,080) is part of a growing regional market that is expanding at about 2.40% annually, a pace that typically signals steady demand for both residential and small commercial construction. That steady growth—combined with proximity to a metro area of 2.6+ million people—means more driveways, patios, garden beds, and infrastructure repairs as homeowners and contractors keep up with new builds and renovations. Reva's climate averages 228 sunny days and about 34.25 inches of rain per year, so materials chosen for local projects must balance weather exposure, drainage needs, and year-round durability. Homeowners here benefit from access to a range of bulk supplies—from soils and sand to decorative stone and structural aggregates—because the right choice reduces maintenance, improves stormwater management, and supports healthier landscaping suited to the local geography.

While I cannot speak to the actual service, I did enter my phone number to get a quote. I realized it was probably too much for my small project. But I received a very helpful follow up text conversation, and after I explained it was probably more than I needed, they still took time to help me work through how much I would need, and offered me possible solutions, even knowing I wouldn't be using their product. Makes me wish they had fit my needs, if that's the level of service they provided even to a non customers

Just a little hiccup in the delivery date but everything worked out well and with great communication from Janel. Ordering went smoothly as well as working with the delivery team to deliver to the appropriate location for my yard.

Start with the project's purpose and load: decide if you need drainage, a smooth finish, or a base for paving. Consider local climate and appearance preferences, and remember that Hello Gravel sources regionally so gravel, sand, dirt, and stone will reflect local geology. Use our online material quiz and calculator or contact our team for a recommendation based on your specific driveway or landscaping plan.
Price depends on material type, distance from local suppliers, order size, and any special handling or next-day delivery fees. Rural access and tight driveways can increase labor or truck time. Our checkout shows transparent pricing and any optional fees before you complete your order.
Required quantity depends on coverage area and desired depth; common examples are 2-3 inches for top dressing or 4-6 inches for base work. Use our online calculator to enter dimensions and get ton estimates, or contact our team for help converting square feet and depth into tons. We recommend ordering a small extra amount to allow for compaction and leveling.
Standard delivery typically takes 2 or more business days, with next-day delivery available if you order before noon CST and pay the additional fee. Deliveries are made by local contracted dump truck fleets, and you choose your preferred date at checkout. Exact timing on the delivery day can vary, so plan for a flexible window.
Drivers may be able to perform tailgate spreading at their discretion, but this is not guaranteed. Request spreading in Order Notes at checkout and the driver will assess whether it can be done safely on arrival. For consistent spreading or large areas, consider hiring a local contractor or equipment for guaranteed results.
Wet or frozen ground can limit where trucks can safely deliver and can affect how material compacts and settles once placed. Spring rains and winter frost can delay deliveries or require additional site prep to avoid ruts. We recommend scheduling deliveries during drier conditions when possible and discussing timing with our team if you have time-sensitive work.
Dump trucks need a clear, level path and enough turning radius to deliver safely; tight driveways, low branches, and soft shoulders can restrict access. Note any obstacles in Order Notes and supply photos if possible so we can match the right truck. If a truck cannot safely reach the drop point, drivers will work with you on an alternate location but additional handling charges may apply.
Hello Gravel has a minimum order of 3 tons, which helps ensure efficient delivery by dump truck. Some suppliers or delivery zones may have additional requirements based on distance or site access. Check zip code availability during checkout and contact support if you need a smaller quantity or special arrangements.
Compare intended use first (drainage, walkways, driveways, decorative), then think about compaction, drainage, and surface texture for maintenance. Regional variations mean appearance and sizing can differ, so request photos or guidance from our team. If you are unsure, our material quiz and sales staff can help select the best option for your project goals.
Some towns, HOAs, or local ordinances may have rules about driveway changes, visible materials, or temporary truck staging, so check with your HOA or local government before ordering. If a permit is required, schedule delivery after it is approved to avoid delays. Our team can remind you to verify permits but cannot obtain approvals on your behalf.
Contact our team as soon as possible; changes are easier to accommodate before the order is processed or dispatched. We will do our best to accommodate requests but modifications may be limited once a truck is assigned. See our checkout and support pages for specific timing and contact information.
Choose materials suited to your intended use and local rainfall: durable, well-graded aggregates help resist rutting and washout, while looser materials may require periodic replenishment. Proper base preparation, drainage planning, and occasional top-up maintenance extend lifespan. Ask our team for recommendations on material depth and maintenance practices tailored to your project.
