Local Insights
Ridgeville Corners has a population of 331 and sits within a rapidly expanding regional market that serves a metro area of 2.6+ million. That steady 2.33% annual growth translates into growing demand for both new construction and incremental home improvements: more driveways, drainage upgrades, planting beds, and small-scale grading projects. In practical terms, homeowners here should expect to source a variety of bulk materials—gravel, sand, topsoil, mulch, and base stone—for routine maintenance and new builds. The local climate (hardiness zone 8b with about 228 sunny days and 33.00 inches of rain annually) favors materials that manage both occasional heavy rain and long, sunny periods. That means prioritizing good drainage mixes, UV-resistant surface materials, and stable base aggregates for long-lasting hardscapes. For homeowners, the takeaway is clear: choose materials that balance drainage, compaction, and surface durability so projects withstand local weather and the region's steady construction activity.

Hello Gravel cared more about the structural integrity of my house than they did about making the sale. I was trying to place an order to buy dirt to place between a retaining wall and footings at the base of columns that hold up my house. They could have just sold me anything for profit, but they told me to go get the advice of a structural engineer, knowing that the structural engineer would probably order the dirt himself and possibly from another company. That’s integrity.

Choose based on function (load-bearing vs decorative), drainage needs, appearance, maintenance expectations, and budget. Because regional sourcing affects texture and color, consider how gravel, sand, dirt, stone and other aggregates will perform in West Ohio’s freeze-thaw climate. Use our online material quiz or contact sales for guidance tailored to your project.
Standard delivery is typically 2+ business days; next-day delivery may be available for orders placed before noon CST for an extra fee. Materials are delivered by local dump truck fleets (usually tri-axle); you choose a delivery date at checkout and get confirmation before dispatch.
Our minimum order is 3 tons. Delivery fees vary by zip code, distance from the supplier, and order size; many areas offer free delivery above certain quantities. Check availability and pricing by entering your Ridgeville Corners zip code at checkout or contact our team for a quote.
Measure the area in square feet and the desired depth in inches and use this formula to get cubic yards: (area in sq ft * depth in inches) / 324. Different materials have different weights per cubic yard, so use our online calculator or contact sales to convert cubic yards to tons for ordering.
We support a wide range of projects including driveways, patios, walkways, drainage repairs, yard grading, raised beds, erosion control, and fill work. Both DIY homeowners and contractors can order small or large quantities and schedule deliveries to match project timelines.
Yes. Freeze-thaw cycles, frozen ground in winter, and muddy conditions in spring can affect installation and site access. Deliveries are available year-round, but it’s best to schedule during stable weather months and allow extra time in spring and winter for possible delays.
Clear the delivery area of vehicles, toys, and landscaping features, mark the preferred drop zone, and ensure a stable access route for a dump truck. If access is tight or there are overhead wires or low branches, contact our team so we can advise and coordinate with the driver.
Materials reflect local geology, so color, grain, and texture can vary from photos or samples. These natural variations affect appearance and sometimes performance, so add preferences in Order Notes and contact sales if a specific look or specification is important for your project.
Permit requirements depend on the scope of work and local jurisdiction. Check with your township or county building and zoning office and any HOA rules before starting large projects; for help identifying the right agency, contact our customer team for direction.
Turnaround depends on local supplier and truck availability. Standard lead time is 2+ business days; next-day delivery may be possible if you order before noon CST. For same-week or urgent jobs, contact our sales team early to confirm availability and any rush fees.
Common maintenance includes occasional regrading, topping up surface material, addressing erosion or pooled water, and compacting high-traffic areas. Choose materials and base preparations that match your maintenance willingness and local freeze-thaw conditions to extend lifespan.
Natural variation in color and texture is normal due to regional sourcing. If you have concerns about quantity, quality, or delivery condition, contact customer service promptly so we can review photos, coordinate next steps, and work to resolve the issue according to our policies.
Drivers may be able to perform tailgate spreading at their discretion; you can request this service at checkout but it is not guaranteed. The driver will assess safety and site conditions on arrival and may refuse spreading if it cannot be done safely.
Freeze-thaw cycles increase the importance of good drainage and a stable base. For load-bearing areas choose well-draining aggregates, adequate base material, proper compaction, and consider geotextile fabric where erosion or frost heave is a risk. Contact our team for recommendations based on your site's conditions.
