Local Insights
Lewisville is a small but active community of 1,170 residents experiencing steady expansion. A growth rate of 2.33% annually means more renovation, infill, and new landscape projects as homeowners update yards, extend driveways, and improve drainage. Combined with a metro area population of 2.6+ million nearby, demand for practical, affordable construction and landscaping supplies is rising. Lewisville’s climate — hardiness zone 8b with about 228 sunny days per year and 33.00 inches of annual rainfall — favors outdoor projects year-round but creates specific needs: materials must withstand strong sun and periodic rain, support healthy planting beds, and help control runoff. For homeowners that means choosing reliable bulk materials (gravel, dirt, sand, mulch, and mixes) that balance stability, drainage, and plant health, while accounting for local soil and grading conditions.

Hello Gravel cared more about the structural integrity of my house than they did about making the sale. I was trying to place an order to buy dirt to place between a retaining wall and footings at the base of columns that hold up my house. They could have just sold me anything for profit, but they told me to go get the advice of a structural engineer, knowing that the structural engineer would probably order the dirt himself and possibly from another company. That’s integrity.

Start by thinking about function: load-bearing, drainage, and appearance. For most projects in Lewisville, comparing options like gravel, sand, dirt, stone helps you balance cost, maintenance, and drainage needs; use our material quiz or contact the sales team for recommendations. Consider traffic (driveways need more stable, larger aggregates), drainage (coarser materials shed water better), and the look you want.
Measure the length, width, and desired depth of the area to get cubic feet, then convert to cubic yards and to tons using our material calculator. Remember our minimum order is 3 tons, so plan quantities and round up for compaction or waste especially when using gravel, sand, dirt, stone. If you need help, send dimensions to our team or use the online calculator during checkout.
Standard delivery typically takes 2+ business days, and next-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon CST for an additional fee. Deliveries are made by local dump truck fleets (usually tri-axle) and timing depends on supplier and truck availability for deliveries of gravel, sand, dirt, stone. Check your zip code at checkout to see available dates and any area-specific options.
Our minimum order is 3 tons; delivery fees depend on distance, quantity, and local supplier policies. Many Lewisville-area deliveries qualify for free delivery, but remote locations or small orders may incur a fee when delivering gravel, sand, dirt, stone. The online checkout shows any delivery fees before you pay.
Drivers may be able to perform tailgate spreading at their discretion, but this is not guaranteed and depends on safety, site access, and equipment. Request spreading in the Order Notes at checkout and the driver will assess feasibility upon arrival when delivering gravel, sand, dirt, stone. If spreading is important, plan for possible additional labor or private spreading services.
Cost varies by material type, quantity, distance from suppliers, and site access; per-ton prices and delivery charges change with market and local availability. Smaller orders typically cost more per ton due to delivery economics, while larger contractor loads reduce per-ton delivery cost for gravel, sand, dirt, stone. Use our online quote tool to see transparent pricing for your address and project size.
Most residential deliveries to private property do not require a permit, but local rules can vary; check with Lewisville township, county offices, or your HOA before ordering. If delivery requires blocking the street, placing material in the public right-of-way, or heavy equipment use, you may need a permit or traffic control when receiving gravel, sand, dirt, stone. When in doubt, contact local authorities or ask our team for guidance.
Clear a stable path for the truck, remove low-hanging wires or branches, and mark any sensitive areas where you do not want material placed. Give the driver at least one clear dumping location and consider nearby space for truck maneuvering—limited access can change where gravel, sand, dirt, stone can be placed or add labor costs. The driver will evaluate the site on arrival and may refuse unsafe placements.
Seasonal weather affects handling and performance: spring thaw can create muddy conditions that make delivery and spreading harder, while freeze-thaw cycles influence settling and compaction. Choose materials that suit local drainage and freeze-thaw needs and schedule bulky deliveries during drier, accessible periods when possible for gravel, sand, dirt, stone. If your project is time-sensitive, consider next-day delivery when available and plan for potential weather delays.
Yes. Contractors can schedule large single loads or recurring deliveries and should contact our team to arrange reliable pickup windows and delivery sequencing. Large projects benefit from early scheduling to secure local suppliers and truck capacity for gravel, sand, dirt, stone and to coordinate multiple drop-offs or staging areas. We can provide quotes, delivery calendars, and quantity guidance for contractor-scale needs.
Materials reflect local geology and natural variation, so texture and color can differ from stock photos. We source regionally for Lewisville-area projects, so the gravel, sand, dirt, stone you receive will reflect local characteristics; you can add color or texture preferences in Order Notes, and contact customer service with concerns. Photos are examples, not exact matches.
Contact our team as soon as possible—changes are easier before an order is processed and dispatched but are not always guaranteed. We will do our best to accommodate modifications or cancellations for orders of gravel, sand, dirt, stone, but timing and supplier policies affect what is possible; check your order confirmation for specific next steps.
