Local Insights
Enterprise is a growing community with a city population of 30,000 and a broader metro area population of 2.5+ million, and its measured growth rate of 0.40% annually points to steady, incremental demand for housing, renovations, and outdoor projects. That steady growth often translates to a continuous need for basic construction and landscaping supplies rather than boom-and-bust spikes: homeowners are more likely to invest in durable driveways, water-wise yards, garden beds, and small-scale hardscape projects. With 228 sunny days per year and annual rainfall of 34.25 inches, local projects must balance sun exposure and periodic wet seasons—so choices around drainage, erosion control, and UV-resistant finishes matter. In this context, quality bulk materials such as dirt, sand, gravel, mulch, and stone play distinct roles: they provide stability for foundations and paving, improve surface drainage, reduce maintenance for xeric plantings, and help manage dust and runoff on sloped lots.

Hello Gravel cared more about the structural integrity of my house than they did about making the sale. I was trying to place an order to buy dirt to place between a retaining wall and footings at the base of columns that hold up my house. They could have just sold me anything for profit, but they told me to go get the advice of a structural engineer, knowing that the structural engineer would probably order the dirt himself and possibly from another company. That’s integrity.

Choose based on function, appearance, and durability. For load-bearing areas pick materials that compact and drain well; for garden beds prioritize appearance and weed control. Use our material calculator and request samples or guidance to match local conditions in Enterprise's arid climate.
Each material group has different drainage, compaction, and appearance characteristics that affect where it works best. Some are better for walkways and drainage, others for garden beds or fill. Consider the function you need first, then evaluate texture, color, and how much maintenance you want.
Measure the area (length x width) and decide how deep you need the material, then convert that volume to cubic yards. For example, 100 sq ft at 2 inches deep is about 0.62 cubic yards; densities vary so use our calculator to convert to tons. Our site and sales team can help convert volume to tons and recommend an appropriate allowance for compaction and waste.
Standard delivery is 2+ business days, and next-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon CST for an extra fee. You can choose a preferred delivery date at checkout but exact arrival times are not guaranteed. We confirm delivery details before dispatch and ask customers to be ready on the scheduled day.
Service varies by supplier and local haulers; check your zip code at checkout to confirm availability. We commonly serve many Enterprise and West Nevada zip codes, but coverage depends on local suppliers and truck access. If you have a tight schedule or special access needs, contact our team before ordering.
Drivers may be able to provide tailgate spreading at their discretion if it can be done safely, and you can request the service at checkout. This is not guaranteed and depends on site conditions, access, and the hauler's rules. If spreading is essential, plan for separate professional installation.
Arid climates influence dust, compaction, and color fading; some materials become dusty or loose without proper stabilization. Schedule deliveries when workers and materials can be handled safely, and consider dust control or binding products for high-traffic areas. Our team can suggest materials and installation tips suited to West Nevada conditions.
Possibly. Street closures, oversized truck access, or placing material in public right-of-way often require local permits, and HOAs may have rules on material type and appearance. Check with the City of Enterprise and your HOA before scheduling large deliveries to avoid delays.
Pricing depends on material type, quantity, delivery distance, and site access, and there is a minimum order of 3 tons. We offer transparent quotes and many areas qualify for free delivery, while next-day service and difficult access may add fees. Ask for a written estimate so you can compare material and labor costs for installation.
Expect periodic regrading, top-ups after storms or heavy use, and dust or weed control measures. Maintenance frequency depends on the material chosen and how the area is used; some materials need occasional watering or stabilizers to control dust. Regular inspection and small repairs will extend the life and appearance of your installation.
Contractors can often access volume pricing and flexible scheduling; contact our sales team to discuss large or recurring deliveries. We can help coordinate timed drops and work with local haulers to meet project timelines, keeping in mind standard lead times and minimum order sizes. Provide project details up front to get the best quote and availability.
Natural materials vary by region, so texture and color may differ from photos; if something is wrong, contact customer service promptly. We will review the order and work to resolve issues, and you can consult our refund policy for details. Take photos and note delivery time and conditions to help us assist you faster.
Clear a route and drop zone free of obstacles, mark property lines and underground utilities, and trim low branches or remove gates that block access. Provide clear delivery instructions at checkout and be on site or available by phone on delivery day so the driver can confirm placement. If access is tight, tell us in advance so we can match the right truck and crew to your job.
