Local Insights
Evergreen is a small but growing community of 7,882 residents where steady expansion is creating more demand for home and neighborhood projects. A 1.90% annual growth rate means new drives, garden beds, and small infrastructure upgrades are increasingly common — not explosive, but consistent enough that homeowners and local contractors should plan for ongoing material needs. Evergreen’s climate, with 228 sunny days and 34.25 inches of annual rainfall in hardiness zone 8b, produces a mix of dry-season work windows and wetter periods that require materials suited to both drainage and erosion control. That combination makes quality bulk supplies — from base materials that stabilize surfaces to topsoil and mulch that support planting — important for long-term performance and reduced maintenance. Homeowners benefit from choosing materials that match local geology and weather patterns to avoid repeat work and to protect landscaping investments as the metro area of 2.5+ million continues to grow regionally.

Hello Gravel cared more about the structural integrity of my house than they did about making the sale. I was trying to place an order to buy dirt to place between a retaining wall and footings at the base of columns that hold up my house. They could have just sold me anything for profit, but they told me to go get the advice of a structural engineer, knowing that the structural engineer would probably order the dirt himself and possibly from another company. That’s integrity.

Start with the job: drainage and compaction needs favor different materials (for example, well-draining mixes for drainage projects and compactable material for a driveway base). Consider appearance and maintenance for visible areas, and load-bearing needs for driveways or pads. Use our material calculator or contact our team for guidance based on your specific project and site conditions.
Typical depths are a useful guide: 2 inches for top dressing, 4 to 6 inches for a driveway base, and 6 to 8 inches for heavy load bases; convert to tons using a material calculator since densities vary. Because gravel, sand, dirt, and stone all have different weights, we recommend using our online calculator or calling our sales team with project dimensions to get a precise estimate.
Evergreen sees freeze-thaw cycles, snow, and wet spring conditions that affect compaction, drainage, and delivery access. Choose materials that drain well in wet seasons and schedule delivery outside heavy snow or thaw periods when possible to avoid site access problems and material compaction issues.
Standard delivery is typically 2+ business days, and next-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon CST for an extra fee. You can choose a preferred delivery date at checkout and will receive confirmation once your local supplier and hauler are scheduled; exact arrival times are not guaranteed.
Yes. Road weight limits, narrow or steep driveways, local county or city rules, and HOA restrictions can affect whether a dump truck can safely deliver. Check local permitting rules for street blocking or large loads, mark access points clearly, and let our team know about tight access so the hauler can plan accordingly.
Drivers may be willing to perform tailgate spreading at their discretion, but this is not guaranteed and depends on safety and equipment on site. Request spreading at checkout and note that the driver will assess whether it can be done safely when they arrive.
Hello Gravel has a minimum order of 3 tons and delivery fees vary by distance, supplier, and local hauler availability; many areas offer free delivery. Enter your zip code or request a quote to see exact pricing and fees for your Evergreen address.
Because we source regionally, texture and color can vary with local geology, so photos are only illustrative. If appearance is important, add notes to your order, ask for a local description, or request a small sample before placing a large order.
Clear the drop zone of vehicles, low branches, and obstacles, and provide a flat, stable area for the truck to offload. Mark utilities and fragile landscaping, confirm access dimensions with our team, and let neighbors or property managers know if a large truck will be present.
Contact our customer service team as soon as possible; changes are easiest before the order is dispatched to the hauler. We will attempt to accommodate requests, but modifications or cancellations may be limited once the supplier or truck is scheduled.
Materials are priced per ton or cubic yard and typically include a delivery fee based on distance and truck type; exact quotes reflect type, quantity, and location. Local searchers often use phrases like u0022gravel delivery Evergreen costu0022 or u0022sand price near 59901u0022—entering your zip code will give the most accurate local pricing.
Common uses include driveways, walkways, drainage beds, raised garden beds, grading, and erosion control; each application has a recommended thickness and base prep. Plan for proper drainage, compaction, and edging where needed, and use our calculator or consult our team to size the order and schedule delivery appropriately.
Winter and wet conditions can limit truck access and increase the risk of site damage; plan deliveries during drier windows when possible and expect potential delays. If delivery during winter is necessary, discuss site conditions with our team so the hauler can assess feasibility and safety before dispatch.
