They were quick to reach out to me and fixed a typo of what I was looking for soil wise for my Raised Garden bed. But shout out to Hello Gravel for being quick to reply!

Local Insights
Lincolnville’s city population of 3,630 sits within a broader metro area of 603,000, creating steady, practical demand for home improvement, landscaping, and infrastructure work. A growth rate of 0.50% annually points to measured, ongoing activity—enough to keep contractors and supply chains busy without the unpredictability of a rapid boom. Local climate and geography shape material needs: 47.00 inches of annual rainfall, 215 sunny days per year, and hardiness zone 7b mean projects must balance good drainage with durability in both wet and sunny periods. That combination increases the importance of choosing quality bulk supplies—stone, sand, topsoil, mulch, and engineered mixes—that resist erosion, support drainage, and stand up to freeze-thaw cycles. Regional sourcing matters here: materials that reflect local geology tend to perform more predictably and reduce on-site surprises during installation.

Hello Gravel cared more about the structural integrity of my house than they did about making the sale. I was trying to place an order to buy dirt to place between a retaining wall and footings at the base of columns that hold up my house. They could have just sold me anything for profit, but they told me to go get the advice of a structural engineer, knowing that the structural engineer would probably order the dirt himself and possibly from another company. That’s integrity.

Choose a material based on how the surface will be used and local conditions. For driveways and paths in Lincolnville, consider materials that offer good drainage and compaction, and ask your supplier about local mixes; gravel, sand, dirt, stone all perform differently depending on traffic and drainage needs. Use our aggregate quiz or contact our sales team for recommendations based on your project and site conditions.
Measure the area (length x width) and decide how deep you need the material, then convert cubic feet to cubic yards (divide by 27). Our online material calculator can convert to tons and recommend a minimum order; if you need help, send the dimensions and desired depth to our team for an estimate.
Same-week delivery is often possible but depends on local supplier stock and truck availability in West Maine. Our standard delivery window is 2+ business days, and next-day delivery may be available for orders placed before noon CST for an additional fee; check your zip code at checkout to see options.
