Local Insights
With a city population of 4,690, Homedale sits within a growing regional market—the nearby metro area population of 2.6+ million—and a steady growth rate of 1.20% annually that translates into ongoing demand for residential and small-scale commercial construction. That steady growth means homeowners are increasingly investing in outdoor upgrades, driveways, drainage fixes, and garden projects. Homedale’s climate—228 sunny days per year combined with an annual rainfall of 34.25 inches and a hardiness zone of 8b—creates a mix of wet-season runoff and long dry periods that shape material choices. In practice this means homeowners need durable base materials for paved areas, well-draining aggregates for erosion control, soil blends and mulch for plant health, and sand or fines for grading and compaction. Regional sourcing matters: materials reflecting local geology perform better in texture, color, and long-term stability, so choosing the right bulk supplies affects both cost and longevity of projects.

While I cannot speak to the actual service, I did enter my phone number to get a quote. I realized it was probably too much for my small project. But I received a very helpful follow up text conversation, and after I explained it was probably more than I needed, they still took time to help me work through how much I would need, and offered me possible solutions, even knowing I wouldn't be using their product. Makes me wish they had fit my needs, if that's the level of service they provided even to a non customers

Hello Gravel connects customers in Homedale (83628) with local suppliers and haulers. We often serve nearby zip codes, but availability can vary by supplier, so check your zip code on our site or contact our team to confirm service to your exact address.
Standard delivery typically takes 2 or more business days from the time you place an order. Next-day delivery is often available for orders placed before noon CST for an additional fee, but exact timing depends on supplier and truck availability.
Delivered cost depends on the material type, quantity, distance from the local supplier, access at the delivery site, and any requested extras like spreading. Local market conditions and seasonal demand can also affect price, so request a quote for the most accurate number.
Measure the area (length x width) and decide the depth you need, then convert to cubic yards using: area (sq ft) x depth (ft) / 27. For example, a 20x20 area (400 sq ft) at 2 inches (0.167 ft) is about 2.5 cubic yards; a 1,000 sq ft driveway at 3 inches is about 9.3 cubic yards. Convert cubic yards to tons only as an estimate, since ton-per-cubic-yard varies by material.
Two inches is a light surface layer and may be fine for temporary or very low-traffic areas, but most driveways benefit from 3 to 6 inches depending on soil, use, and drainage. In West Idaho conditions, a thicker base and proper compaction give better long-term performance, so plan based on traffic and local soil conditions.
Choose material based on function: use well-graded, compactable aggregates for driveways and base layers; looser, decorative materials for top dressing and landscaping. Because we source regionally, materials may vary in texture and color in Homedale, so consider durability, drainage, and appearance when choosing between gravel, sand, dirt, and stone.
We deliver by contracted dump truck fleets and you can request tailgate spreading at checkout, but spreading is performed at the driver’s discretion and cannot be guaranteed. For guaranteed spreading or precise grading, we recommend hiring a local contractor or adding it as a separate service.
Our minimum order is 3 tons. Deliveries are typically made by tri-axle dump trucks; actual truck capacity and number of loads will depend on the material density and your order size.
Enter your zip code on our site and use the material calculator or request a quote to include quantity, delivery location, and any add-ons. You can also call our sales team with project details to get help selecting materials and a precise delivered price.
Some rural or hard-to-reach delivery locations may incur additional fees due to distance, road conditions, or required special equipment. Note any gates, narrow driveways, steep approaches, or weight limits in your order notes so we can provide a realistic delivery plan and quote.
