Local Insights
Teec Nos Pos has a city population of 2,000, sitting within a wider metro area that totals 2.6+ million people. A steady growth rate of 2.00% annually points to ongoing, manageable demand for new homes, repairs, and infrastructure upgrades rather than a rapid boom — meaning homeowners can expect a steady stream of local projects and periodic contractor activity. With 228 sunny days per year and 34.25 inches of annual rainfall, the local climate combines strong sun exposure with occasional significant precipitation. That mix favors materials that resist UV breakdown, provide reliable drainage during storms, and limit erosion during dry spells. In practice, homeowners planning landscaping or construction should consider a range of bulk materials — from base soils and sand to mulches and various aggregates — chosen for durability, drainage performance, and local compatibility. Regional sourcing matters: materials that reflect local geology will perform more predictably in both installation and long-term weathering.

While I cannot speak to the actual service, I did enter my phone number to get a quote. I realized it was probably too much for my small project. But I received a very helpful follow up text conversation, and after I explained it was probably more than I needed, they still took time to help me work through how much I would need, and offered me possible solutions, even knowing I wouldn't be using their product. Makes me wish they had fit my needs, if that's the level of service they provided even to a non customers

Just a little hiccup in the delivery date but everything worked out well and with great communication from Janel. Ordering went smoothly as well as working with the delivery team to deliver to the appropriate location for my yard.

For driveways and patios in Teec Nos Pos consider the full group of gravel, sand, dirt, stone based on use, look, and drainage needs. Driveways need materials that compact and shed water, while patios need a stable, level base and a finish you like. Your choice should balance durability, maintenance, and local availability.
Because Teec Nos Pos is in an arid, rural area with seasonal monsoon rains, choose materials that drain well and resist washing during heavy storms. Use a compactable base or geotextile if soils are sandy or loose, and pick material sizes that limit dust and erosion for your specific site.
Calculate area times depth to get cubic feet, convert to cubic yards (divide by 27), then convert to tons using the material density or use our online material calculator. As a quick rule, measure the length and width, select a reasonable depth (for example 2–4 inches for surfaces), and check the calculator — remember our minimum order is 3 tons.
Yes, suppliers and local haulers commonly deliver to rural properties around Teec Nos Pos, but remote access, road conditions, and distance can add fees or require special arrangements. Confirm site access and any tight turns or soft approaches before scheduling so the dump truck can safely reach the drop point.
Standard delivery is generally 2+ business days after order, and next-day delivery is sometimes available for orders placed before noon CST for an additional fee. Lead times depend on supplier location, truck availability, and weather, so choose your preferred date during checkout and confirm details in your order confirmation.
Drivers may be able to do tailgate spreading at their discretion, and you can request it in the Order Notes, but this service is not guaranteed. The driver will assess safety and site conditions on arrival and may decline if spreading cannot be done safely.
Material size and type influence dust, weed growth, drainage, and how often you need to refill or regrade. Coarser mixes generally move less and need less frequent topping up, while finer materials compact well but can wash or blow during storms; add edging and proper drainage to reduce maintenance.
Yes. Because Teec Nos Pos sits within tribal and county jurisdictions, check with local tribal authorities and Apache County or nearby municipal offices for rules on driveways, grading, drainage, and setbacks. Hello Gravel can deliver materials, but you are responsible for confirming permits and local regulations.
Contractors typically price jobs based on material type and quantity, delivery distance, site access, required labor for spreading and compaction, and any disposal or grading work. Ask for itemized quotes so you can compare material-only pricing from Hello Gravel with full-install bids from contractors.
Save money by ordering locally sourced materials, consolidating deliveries, ordering the right quantity to avoid extra trips, and scheduling weekday deliveries. Also consider reusing an existing base, combining material deliveries with neighbors, and using Hello Gravel’s calculator and quiz to choose the most economical material for your project.
