Unscreened River Sand

Unscreened river sand is a natural aggregate sourced directly from riverbeds, retaining its original mix of fine particles, small stones, and organic material. Unlike screened sand, it is not processed to remove larger debris or to achieve a uniform grain size, preserving its raw, unrefined texture.




The unscreened attribute means this sand contains a blend of particle sizes, which can be advantageous for certain construction and landscaping projects where perfect uniformity is not required. It is commonly used as a base material for filling low spots, backfilling trenches, or as a sub-base for paving and concrete work. In landscaping, it's suitable for leveling ground, creating berms, or as a natural fill. While its mixed composition makes it less ideal for applications needing a smooth finish-such as plastering or fine masonry-it is cost-effective and provides good drainage. However, the presence of organic material and larger particles may require additional preparation or screening for more precise uses.
