This pugmill-processed sand is commonly used in road base construction, pipe bedding, and backfill projects where controlled moisture and uniformity are critical for achieving proper compaction and load-bearing capacity. Its cohesive nature makes it less prone to shifting or settling, which is especially beneficial in infrastructure and utility installations. While the added moisture and blending improve workability and compaction, it may not be suitable for decorative or drainage applications where free-draining, dry sand is preferred.
