Creek Sand

Creek sand is a naturally occurring construction aggregate sourced from riverbeds and creek bottoms. Its grains are typically smooth and rounded due to years of water erosion, resulting in a clean, fine-textured material. Unlike manufactured or crushed sand, creek sand is not angular, which gives it a softer feel and a more natural appearance.




The rounded, smooth nature of creek sand makes it ideal for a variety of residential and commercial applications. It is commonly used for playgrounds, sandboxes, landscaping, and as a base for pavers or patios. Its excellent drainage properties also make it suitable for use in French drains and other drainage systems. While creek sand is easy to spread and comfortable underfoot, its lack of angular edges means it does not compact as tightly as crushed sand, making it less suitable for structural base layers where maximum compaction is required.
