3/4” Drain Rock

3/4” drain rock is a versatile, naturally occurring or crushed stone aggregate sized to pass through a 3/4-inch screen. This material is typically composed of durable, weather-resistant rock types such as granite or river rock, ensuring long-lasting performance in demanding environments.

The 3/4” size range is ideal for promoting excellent drainage while providing enough stability to prevent shifting or settling. This makes it a popular choice for French drains, septic system installations, retaining wall backfill, and other drainage solutions. In residential settings, it is often used beneath concrete slabs, around foundations, or as a base for driveways and walkways where water management is critical.

Because of its size, 3/4” drain rock resists compaction, allowing water to flow freely through the aggregate. This reduces the risk of pooling and erosion, but also means it is not suitable for applications requiring a tightly packed surface. Its clean, angular profile also helps lock pieces together, providing stability without sacrificing drainage efficiency.
