Crushed stone in a 1.5" size range, screened for uniformity, is a durable aggregate produced by mechanically breaking down larger rocks and then passing them through screens to ensure consistent sizing. The screening process removes fines and smaller particles, resulting in clean, evenly sized stones.




The 1.5" size is ideal for applications where stability and drainage are important. Its larger, screened pieces resist compaction, making it excellent for use as a base material under driveways, parking lots, and roadways, as well as for drainage projects like French drains and septic system beds. The absence of fines means less dust and better water flow, but it may not compact as tightly as smaller or unscreened materials. This makes it less suitable for surfaces requiring a smooth, compacted finish but highly effective for structural support and drainage.
