This material is produced by mechanically crushing and screening quarried rock, resulting in a mix that includes both larger aggregate pieces (up to 1 1/2") and fine particles that pass through a #200 sieve.




The combination of coarse and fine particles in this size range is essential for creating a stable, compactable base layer. The larger stones provide structural strength, while the fines fill voids and lock the material together, minimizing movement and settlement. This makes it ideal for use as a sub-base for roads, driveways, parking lots, and building pads.
