Bold red color with hemlock's soft, sliver-free texture.
Red hemlock is Willamette Valley hemlock bark dust screened to 3/4" minus and colored a rich red with iron oxide pigments — the same mineral that colors terra cotta. It gives beds the bold, high-contrast finish of a dyed mulch while keeping hemlock's naturally low-sliver texture, which makes it the better red bark around kids, pets, and anywhere hands end up in the beds. It spreads smooth at about 2" deep and suits commercial and residential landscapes alike. One cubic yard weighs approximately 600 lbs. Hello Gravel delivers it in bulk by dump truck across Salem and the Willamette Valley.
