Product description
Blonde maple and alder chips that keep paths dry and boots clean.
Hardwood chips are screened 3/4"–3" maple and alder with minimal fines — a clean, blonde ground cover that stands up to Willamette Valley mud season. Use them on garden pathways, walking trails, playgrounds, and dog kennels, or spread them thick for mud control on job sites. Apply 6–12" for playgrounds and 1–3" for paths and trails. One cubic yard weighs approximately 700 lbs. Hello Gravel delivers them in bulk by dump truck across Salem and the Willamette Valley.

How it works
- We fix what we control. Wrong material, confirmed fulfillment errors, or orders we cannot complete are reviewed for replacement, refund, or another fair resolution.
- Safe delivery comes first. The driver chooses the final safe dump location on site. If your requested spot is not safely reachable, we deliver to the closest safe location available.
- Plans change. You can cancel free up to one full business day before delivery. Next-business-day orders cannot be cancelled once confirmed.
- Natural material varies. Color, texture, moisture, dust, and sizing can vary by quarry, supplier, season, and region.

Working with Hello Gravel was super easy and convenient and I am very busy so love easy and convenient! I filled out a form for a quote on their website last week and honestly forgot about it..their text agent reached out and got me all set up along with comparative rates (showing me I got a good deal) and then set up delivery for later that week. I got a soil / sand mixture for lawn leveling and it was incredibly easy and now it is in my driveway ready to roll for this weekends project. I will 100% be calling them back for mulch in a month or two

I recently ordered Hello Gravel Black Mulch, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The color is deep, rich, and consistent, which instantly gave my landscaping a clean, high-end look. It really makes the plants and greenery pop. The mulch itself is high quality, evenly shredded, and easy to spread. It covered well without a lot of waste, and it settled nicely after watering without washing out or looking patchy. Delivery was smooth and on time, and the material arrived fresh and ready to use. Overall, it completely transformed the appearance of my yard and gave it that professionally landscaped finish. Highly recommend if you want bold color, great coverage, and a polished curb appeal upgrade.

Very professional and patient. Responded quickly to email or text. I had researched the quantity and type of gravel I needed for my project before contacting Hello Gravel. When I explained what I was doing, the recommendations I received were consistent with what I had found. Piero kept me updated on the delivery. I had to change the date three times, and he was very accommodating. He sent a picture of a sample of the gravel for my approval. The delivery was on time and frictionless. I would use Hello Gravel again.

I, once again, had the pleasure of working with Keronica L. and driver Brian on my 3rd, and likely, final delivery from Hello Gravel. These two are both exceptionally good at what they do and they proved to me every time with their very pleasant and professional approach to their jobs, and their knowledge and experience are highly evident! They made this project so much easier than I ever anticipated. I cant thank you both enough for all your help. If I ever have another project like this, I will most definitely make Hello Gravel my first call! Thanks for everything!!! Dan Fettes

Yes. Priced by the cubic yard — one yard weighs approximately 700 lbs.
Both work for paths and play areas. Cedar adds natural insect resistance; hardwood maple/alder runs slightly heavier and wears down slower underfoot.
Bulk aggregate, soil, sand, and mulch are not returnable once delivered. Use the calculator and round up slightly if you're close.
