Hello Gravel found me while I was looking for dirt to fill a hole that opened up in my back yard. I originally searched on DirtMatch and when I spoke with Chuck I was originally quoted for 1 ton of dirt. After showing pictures it turned out I needed less than half of that. Chuck talked me through the process of picking the right soil, how to fill the hole, and where to get what I needed from the Lowes local to me. Uploaded pictures of how we found it, after we dug out all the overhang and cleaned it out, and after we filled it in. I saved $400 by talking with Chuck and it only took like 3 hours. I wasn't even an official customer and Chuck took the time to help me with the hole in my yard. And on a weekend no less!!! What I'm saying is if you're looking for honest, kind, caring people to help you with your job. From my experience, this is the place.

While I cannot speak to the actual service, I did enter my phone number to get a quote. I realized it was probably too much for my small project. But I received a very helpful follow up text conversation, and after I explained it was probably more than I needed, they still took time to help me work through how much I would need, and offered me possible solutions, even knowing I wouldn't be using their product. Makes me wish they had fit my needs, if that's the level of service they provided even to a non customers

Use the calculator with your length, width, and depth. One ton covers about 125 square feet at 2 inches deep. A 30 by 60 foot volleyball area at 12 inches deep takes roughly 85 to 90 tons.
Backyard courts usually run about 12 inches of sand, and serious players go deeper. Put landscape fabric and a layer of drainage gravel underneath so the court dries fast after rain.
Both are clean and soft. Playground sand is made for sandboxes and play areas. Beach sand is chosen for its bright color, so it's the pick when looks matter, like a backyard beach or court.
Dirt, leaves, and soil from the edges dull it over time. Edging, fabric underneath, and regular raking keep it clean. Top it up with a thin fresh layer when it looks tired.
It's not the best choice. Coarser sand packs and holds better under pavers. Use paver base sand or concrete sand there, and save beach sand for areas you see and walk on.
By dump truck, straight to your property. The driver dumps it in one pile where you choose. Pick a firm, level spot the truck can reach, clear of cars and overhead wires. Delivery is included in the price you see.
