Clean 1/2–1" crushed limestone for drainage and base
#57 limestone is crushed limestone screened to the #57 range, about 1/2 to 1 inch, with most of the dust and fines removed. The angular pieces lock together for a stable surface, and the open gaps between them let water drain fast. It's a workhorse stone for French drains, driveway top layers, drainage backfill, and slab and paver bases. It's always limestone, so we only offer it where limestone is quarried nearby. Size varies slightly and color varies by location.
#57 limestone is clean, angular crushed limestone about 1/2 to 1 inch with the fines screened out, not a packed base like road base.
