Large angular crushed stone (1½" – 2½") for heavy drainage, structural fill, and base under driveways and equipment pads. Sized big enough to lock together and stay put under serious loads.
#4 crushed stone is large angular stone, about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches, for heavy base and drainage, not the finer gravel you'd top a driveway with.

I recently used Hello Gravel for a few refresh projects around my Uptown New Orleans home and had a really great experience. I ordered walkway gravel for around the house and paver and fountain areas, plus #57 limestone gravel for the street in front of my house to help with drainage and parking since I park on the street. Everything looked really nice and refreshed afterwards. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. The minimum order is typically 1 ton (or 1 cubic yard for mulch and soil products). Our pricing gets better with larger quantities — a full truckload (18 tons) gives you the best per-unit price.
Due to the nature of bulk materials, we cannot accept returns once delivered. We recommend using our calculator to get the right amount — it's better to order slightly more than to run short mid-project.
Check the product specifications above for the exact sizing. Crushed stone is sized by industry-standard numbers — smaller numbers mean larger stones. #57 is 3/4-inch, #89 is 3/8-inch, and so on.
For driveways and parking areas, we recommend a 4-6 inch base of compacted road base or #610 underneath your surface gravel. This prevents sinking and extends the life of your project.
