Rip Rap in the 3” to 6” size range is a durable, coarse aggregate composed of large, angular stones. Produced by quarrying and breaking down larger rock, this material is specifically sized to provide effective erosion control and slope stabilization. The substantial size of each stone ensures that the material stays in place even under heavy water flow or harsh weather conditions.

This size range is ideal for lining shorelines, riverbanks, culvert outlets, and drainage channels, where it helps prevent soil erosion and dissipates the energy of flowing water. It is also commonly used for retaining wall backfill, bridge abutments, and as a protective layer on embankments.
