Oversized Gravel

Oversized gravel is a coarse aggregate consisting of larger-than-standard stones, typically produced by screening and crushing natural rock. The “oversized” attribute means these stones exceed the typical size range for standard gravel, resulting in chunkier, more substantial pieces.

This larger size makes oversized gravel ideal for applications requiring robust support and superior drainage, such as erosion control, base layers for heavy-duty roads, or stabilizing soft ground. Its bulkiness prevents easy compaction, which enhances water flow and reduces the risk of pooling or flooding. However, the rough, uneven surface may not be suitable for finished surfaces or areas requiring a smooth, walkable layer. Oversized gravel is a practical choice for commercial construction, landscaping, and infrastructure projects where strength and drainage are priorities.
