This size and gradation make 2.5" minus crushed stone ideal for heavy-duty base layers in road construction, driveways, parking lots, and building pads. The larger stone provides structural strength, while the fines fill voids for a solid, stable foundation. It is also commonly used for erosion control, backfilling, and as a sub-base for retaining walls.
