Why New Berlin Homeowners Choose Hello Gravel
New Berlin serves a large and growing community, with a city population of 3,000 and a metro area population of 2.3+ million. A steady growth rate of 0.69% annually signals ongoing demand for residential updates, infill projects, and small-scale new construction rather than a one-time building boom. Coupled with 228 sunny days a year, 33.69 inches of annual rainfall, and a hardiness zone of 8b, homeowners here need bulk materials that balance sun resistance, drainage performance, and plant-friendly properties. Whether you are planning yard regrades, permeable driveways, garden bed restoration, or patio bases, quality aggregates, sand, dirt, mulch, and stone support durability, water management, and low-maintenance landscapes suited to local conditions. These trends mean homeowners increasingly prioritize materials that are resilient under sun exposure, manage episodic rain without pooling, and foster gardens that thrive in the region’s climate.Popular Projects in New Berlin This Season

Frequently Asked Questions - New Berlin Gravel Delivery
Everything you need to know about gravel delivery in New Berlin.
We deliver to New Berlin when service is available in your zip code; check availability at checkout. Our minimum order is 3 tons, standard delivery is 2+ business days, and next-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon CST for an additional fee. Delivery fees depend on your exact location, supplier, and order size; many areas qualify for free delivery—see checkout for the exact price. Drivers are contracted local haulers and delivery confirmation is provided by email or text.
We offer a wide range of bulk materials including gravel, sand, dirt, stone, mulch, and pine straw. Choose based on function: base materials for drainage and structural support, decorative aggregates for paths and beds, and organic products for planting beds. Consider factors like drainage, load-bearing needs, appearance, and local climate; use our material calculator and aggregate quiz or contact our team for help choosing. Regional sourcing means color and texture can vary, so request notes at checkout if appearance matters.
Pricing reflects the local supplier rate, the material type, and whether you choose pickup or delivery. Pickup may save on hauling costs but requires a vehicle capable of handling the weight and volume; delivery includes professional dump truck service and may include a hauling fee. You will see transparent, line-item pricing in checkout before you pay, and taxes or extra fees appear based on location. For large orders, contact our sales team for help and possible volume options.
Free or discounted delivery can apply in some areas depending on supplier promotions, distance, and order size. Because delivery pricing is regional, the best way to see available offers is to enter your zip code and materials in checkout. We display any free delivery options or discounts up front so you can compare. If you have questions, our team can review rates for nearby zip codes.
The common '3-3-3' guideline for mulching refers to about 3 inches of mulch depth, keeping mulch a few inches away from trunks or stems, and extending the mulch ring as appropriate for the plant size. We primarily supply and deliver materials; drivers may be able to perform tailgate spreading at their discretion if requested at checkout, but spreading services are not guaranteed. For guaranteed installation to a specific standard, we recommend hiring a local landscaper or installer and using our delivery-only service to get the materials on site. Our team can help estimate quantities to meet the 3-3-3 guideline.
Look for transparent pricing, clear delivery terms, local sourcing, and reliable customer support. Check reviews and ask about minimums, delivery windows, and whether they can confirm material samples or photos for appearance. A supplier that offers an online calculator, clear refund/issue processes, and easy scheduling is helpful for DIY homeowners and contractors alike. We connect customers with vetted local suppliers and provide those details up front.
Lower-cost options often include bulk mulch, pine straw, and basic crushed stone or dirt. Coverage varies: as a rough guide, 1 cubic yard typically covers about 100 sq ft at 2-3 inches depth for loose materials, but coverage depends on depth and compaction. Use our material calculator for precise estimates and to avoid over- or under-ordering. Buying in bulk usually lowers the per-unit cost compared with bagged products.
Labor pricing varies by contractor; many use either hourly rates or flat bids for defined scopes of work. Expect contractors to quote flat rates for common jobs like bed prep and installation, and hourly rates for open-ended tasks; always get a written estimate that specifies materials, labor, and any disposal fees. We supply materials and delivery; for labor, get multiple local quotes and confirm insurance, references, and timeline before hiring. If you need referrals, our team can suggest ways to find installers in your area.
Hello Gravel focuses on supplying and delivering materials rather than full design or installation. We can provide the quantities and materials you need for a 70/30 layout or rule-of-three plant groupings and can advise on typical material types and coverage. For design and installation, we recommend hiring a landscape designer or contractor; many customers use our delivery service in coordination with their installer. If you want help estimating materials for a particular design, our calculator and sales team can assist.
Common mistakes include ordering the wrong quantity, not accounting for truck access and staging space, assuming color and texture will exactly match photos, and neglecting drainage or grade before laying material. Also avoid last-minute scheduling during busy seasons and not confirming whether spreading is possible on delivery. Use our material calculator, review delivery access ahead of time, and contact us early if you need to change an order so we can help minimize additional costs. Clear communication with your installer about material placement and prep prevents surprises.
You can select a preferred delivery date in checkout; standard delivery is 2+ business days and next-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon CST for an extra fee. Same-week delivery is often possible depending on supplier and truck availability—enter your zip code and desired date to see options. We send order confirmations and delivery notifications by email or text, and you can add delivery notes at checkout about access or placement. If you need a tight window or special instructions, contact our support team as soon as you place the order.
Because we source regionally, natural materials may vary in color and texture; we recommend noting appearance preferences at checkout and contacting customer service if a material seems inconsistent on delivery. To change or cancel, contact our team as soon as possible—changes are easiest before the order is dispatched and are subject to supplier and trucking timelines. If there is an issue with delivery or the product, contact customer service promptly so we can work toward a satisfactory resolution in line with our policies. Keep photos and delivery details handy to help speed up the process.
