Decomposed Granite
Known for its natural look, this compact, durable material drains well and holds up in high-traffic areas. Made from crushed and weathered granite down to a mix of fine gravel and sand—best for patios, paths, driveways, and landscape projects. Can range in color from light brown and tan to reddish and gray, depending on the natural stone color in the region.
Road Base
(Class 5 | ABC | Crusher Run) A mixture of crushed limestone or granite, gravel, and sand, ranging from 1 ½” in size down to fines (small particles). Commonly used for constructing roads, driveway bases, parking lots, and other paved and unpaved surfaces. Intended to be compacted, hence the inclusion of fines within the material to provide support and be resistant to erosion and shifting.

Why Granite Quarry Homeowners Choose Hello Gravel
Granite Quarry has a city population of 1,469 and sits in a growing regional market with a metro area population of 2.3+ million and a local growth rate of 2.80% annually. The climate here averages 228 sunny days per year with annual rainfall of 34.00 inches and falls in hardiness zone 8b—conditions that support steady residential development and ongoing outdoor projects. As homeowners add patios, driveways, drainage features, and garden beds, demand for reliable aggregates rises. Quality gravel helps control erosion, improves drainage on sloped lots, and provides a durable surface for traffic areas, so Granite Quarry residents often look for locally sourced material that performs well in this climate and under continued growth pressures.Popular Projects in Granite Quarry This Season

Frequently Asked Questions - Granite Quarry gravel Delivery
Everything you need to know about gravel delivery in Granite Quarry.
Hello Gravel connects Granite Quarry homeowners with local suppliers and dump truck haulers that deliver bulk gravel. We offer online ordering, transparent quotes, and scheduling; note our minimum order is 3 tons and drivers may offer tailgate spreading at their discretion. Check your zip code on our site or call our sales team to get available material options and request spreading in the Order Notes.
Delivered gravel prices in West North Carolina commonly range by type and distance; expect roughly $25 to $65 per ton (about $35 to $85 per cubic yard) depending on stone type, delivery distance, and job access. Exact pricing is shown in your Hello Gravel quote for your zip code, and additional fees can apply for next-day delivery, spreading, or tight-access sites. For the most accurate price, request a quote online with your address and material selection.
Common locally available options include 3/4" crushed stone or #57 for driveways and base, pea gravel and river rock for decorative landscaping, 1–2" crushed stone and riprap for erosion control, and driveway mixes with fines for compaction. Because Hello Gravel sources regionally, exact sizes, texture, and color can vary with local geology in West North Carolina. If you need a specific size or appearance, request it in the Order Notes and we will confirm availability for your area.
Hello Gravel’s minimum order is 3 tons, which is roughly 2 cubic yards depending on material, so 1-yard orders are generally below our standard minimum. Some local suppliers or landscapers do offer 1–3 cubic yard deliveries for a higher per-yard price or with a small-load fee. If you need a smaller quantity, enter your address on our site or contact our team and we will check local supplier options and pricing for small loads.
Yes, crushed granite, decorative stone, and other locally quarried aggregates are commonly available in the West North Carolina market and can often be delivered to Granite Quarry. Materials reflect local geology, so color and texture will likely match regional stone. You can note color preferences at checkout and our suppliers will do their best to match availability, but exact matches cannot be guaranteed.
Suppliers can often pick materials that closely match regional stone, and you can indicate color or texture preferences in your Order Notes or by sending photos when you request a quote. However, natural materials have inherent variation, and exact matches are not guaranteed. If color consistency is critical, request a sample or ask the supplier about visiting a local yard to see material before delivery.
Standard delivery through Hello Gravel is scheduled for 2+ business days, and next-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon CST for an additional fee. Delivery times depend on supplier scheduling and truck availability, and tailgate spreading is possible but left to the driver's discretion on arrival. For installation or spreading on a specific date, schedule early and include any spreading requests when you place the order.
Most suppliers and dump truck haulers connected through Hello Gravel deliver material only and do not include removal of old material, grading, or compaction as part of a standard delivery. Some local contractors or full-service landscape companies can handle removal and site prep; you should arrange those services separately. If you need combined services, ask us and we can help identify local contractors who offer demolition, grading, and compaction in the Granite Quarry area.
Before ordering, check with the Town of Granite Quarry and your HOA (if applicable) for driveway setbacks, curb/roadway permits, right-of-way rules, and any surface material restrictions. Rowan County or town planning offices can confirm whether a permit is required for a new driveway, apron work, or significant grading. Contact local authorities and your HOA early so you can schedule delivery after any required approvals.
Yes, recycled options such as crushed concrete, reclaimed asphalt, and other recycled aggregates are commonly available in West North Carolina and can be delivered to Granite Quarry. These materials often cost less and are suitable for base layers and some landscaping uses, but they may contain more fines and have different drainage or color characteristics than virgin stone. Ask for recycled-options when requesting a quote to compare price, suitability, and local availability.
As of today, we require 2 business days for delivery.
