Why International Marketplace Homeowners Choose Hello Gravel
International Marketplace is a mature community of 78,000 residents within a broader metro of 2.4+ million, and its 0.00% annual growth rate points to steady, established demand for home maintenance and selective construction rather than rapid expansion. That stability shapes the kind of projects homeowners undertake: targeted landscaping updates, durable driveway and patio work, and small-scale site improvements instead of large subdivision builds. With 228 sunny days and 45.37 inches of annual rainfall, materials must balance drainage and erosion control with moisture retention where needed. The region's hardiness zone of 8a supports a wide range of planting and softscape choices, which in turn affects topsoil, mulch, and amendment needs. For homeowners in this climate, having access to a variety of quality bulk materials—gravel, sand, dirt, mulch, and stone—means projects perform better over time and require fewer repeat interventions.Popular Projects in International Marketplace This Season

Frequently Asked Questions - International Marketplace Gravel Delivery
Everything you need to know about gravel delivery in International Marketplace.
Start by defining the project goal (drainage, load-bearing base, decorative topcoat, or soil fill) and the expected traffic. Consider local climate and drainage needs, then compare options with attributes like compaction, drainage, and appearance. Gravel, sand, dirt, stone each perform differently, so use our material calculator and contact our team for recommendations based on your site.
International Marketplace experiences freeze-thaw cycles and wet springs that can change how materials settle and drain. For wet or freeze-prone areas, choose materials with good drainage and stability to reduce frost heave and rutting. Consider local sourcing because regional geology affects texture and color of gravel, sand, dirt, stone.
Choose materials based on expected weight, drainage, and finished look: stable, angular materials are better for bases, while smoother materials are often used for surfacing or bedding. Layering—using a compacted base with a different surface material—is common for long-lasting results. Because local suppliers provide varying blends, check sample photos and ask about local gravel, sand, dirt, stone options before ordering.
Measure the length, width, and desired depth of the area and plug those numbers into our material calculator on the site for a quick estimate. Orders must meet the minimum of 3 tons, so round up to the nearest needed amount and allow extra for compaction and grading. Contact our team if you want help converting area measurements into tons for gravel, sand, dirt, stone.
Standard delivery is 2+ business days from order and scheduling, and next-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon CST for an extra fee. Materials are delivered by local contracted dump trucks, usually tri-axle, and tailgate spreading may be available at the driver's discretion if requested at checkout. We confirm delivery details and will notify you of scheduling and any potential delays due to weather or access issues.
Pricing depends on quantity, distance from the supplier, material type, and local hauling costs; many areas have free delivery thresholds. Enter your zip code to see transparent pricing for your address, and contact sales for quotes on larger or recurring jobs. All orders show delivery fees and minimums up front for gravel, sand, dirt, stone.
Contact our team as soon as possible to request changes; it's easier to modify orders before they are dispatched. We will do our best to accommodate modifications, but changes cannot always be guaranteed once a supplier and hauler are scheduled. See checkout instructions and contact customer service for next steps.
Many local municipalities and HOAs have rules about driveway alterations, material types, delivery truck access, and curb cuts, so check regulations before ordering. For larger or visible projects, get any necessary permits or HOA approvals to avoid rework or removal. If you need help understanding common requirements, our team can point you to local resources.
Provide clear, level truck access and remove low-hanging obstacles like branches and wires; mark the desired drop location with flags or paint. Make sure the ground can support a loaded dump truck and note any narrow gates, steep slopes, or parking restrictions when ordering. Request tailgate spreading at checkout if you need material near the drop, but know the driver will assess safety and feasibility on arrival.
Regular maintenance depends on the material and use: expect occasional regrading, topping up, and spot compaction for high-traffic areas. Check drainage paths each season and add more material where erosion or settling occurs. Routine care for gravel, sand, dirt, stone extends the life and appearance of your project.
Compare drainage, compaction, load-bearing capacity, cost, and aesthetic preferences to match the material to the job. Contractors often prioritize performance and ease of compaction; homeowners may focus on appearance and maintenance. Ask for local product specs and samples since regional mixes of gravel, sand, dirt, stone can vary in texture and color.
