Why Midland Homeowners Choose Hello Gravel
Midland, with a city population of 159,312 and located within an Odessa–Midland region serving 2.5+ million residents, is seeing steady growth at 0.70% annually. That steady expansion—fueled by energy-sector development and ongoing housing and infrastructure projects—creates a continuous need for bulk materials for yards, driveways, foundations, and commercial sites. Midland’s climate (235 sunny days per year and 34.70 inches of annual rainfall) and hardiness zone 8b shape material performance: prolonged sun and heat accelerate drying and UV exposure, while periodic rainfall and runoff make drainage and erosion control essential. In this environment, homeowners benefit from locally sourced aggregates, soils, and sands that balance durability, permeability, and moisture management to reduce maintenance and extend project life.Popular Projects in Midland This Season

Frequently Asked Questions - Midland Gravel Delivery
Everything you need to know about gravel delivery in Midland.
Start by matching the material to the job: consider load and traffic for driveways, drainage for low spots, and appearance for yards or beds. Think about long-term maintenance, how the material settles, and local climate; choose from gravel, sand, dirt, stone as a group based on those needs. Use our material quiz or contact our team for guidance if you are unsure.
Midland has hot summers and windy conditions, with occasional heavy storms, so pick materials that tolerate heat and wind and schedule deliveries outside times of strong wind or heavy rain. Heat can make loose materials drier and dustier, while storms can wash or compact recently placed material, so plan placement and compaction accordingly. Ask our team about local performance when choosing materials.
Calculate cubic yards by multiplying area (square feet) by desired depth (feet) and dividing by 27, then convert to tons using a material-specific conversion. Different materials weigh differently, so estimated conversions vary; use our online material calculator or contact us with project dimensions for a precise recommendation. For most projects we also recommend ordering a small overage to account for compaction and grading.
Standard delivery is typically 2+ business days, and next-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon CST for an additional fee. You can choose a preferred delivery date at checkout and we'll confirm timing with a local supplier and hauler. Minimum orders apply and depend on the material, with 3 tons being the usual minimum.
Confirm gate width and height, remove low-hanging wires or branches, and provide a clear turnaround or staging area for a tri-axle dump truck. Note any soft ground, steep driveways, or weight limits that could prevent safe access and communicate special instructions in Order Notes. If access is restricted, discuss alternate drop locations with our team before delivery.
Possibly. Small residential drops usually do not require permits, but blocking a public street, closing a lane, or making a commercial-size delivery may require city or county permits. Check with the City of Midland and your HOA before ordering, and tell us about any permit requirements so we can coordinate with the hauler.
Drivers may be able to perform tailgate spreading at their discretion, but this service is not guaranteed. Request spreading at checkout and the driver will assess safety and feasibility upon arrival. If you need precise spreading or grading, plan for a separate landscaping crew or equipment.
Costs depend on material type, quantity, delivery distance, site access difficulty, and timing (next-day or special requests add fees). Contractors ordering larger volumes may get different pricing or scheduling options, so request a contractor quote for bulk needs. We provide transparent pricing up front so you can budget for material and delivery separately.
Natural materials vary by region, so color and texture may differ from photos; this is normal with locally sourced aggregate. Contact our customer service as soon as possible to request order changes — we will try to accommodate modifications before the order is processed or dispatched. For concerns after delivery, reach out promptly so we can help resolve the issue.
Next-day delivery is available for orders placed before noon CST for an additional fee, but same-day service is rarely available and depends on supplier stock and truck availability. Check your zip code on our site and call our team if you need expedited timing; we will check local supplier schedules and do our best to accommodate urgent requests. Remember that weather and access can affect availability.
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay through a secure online checkout, and the usual minimum order is 3 tons. Final pricing may include delivery fees or surcharges for special access and expedited service. If you need help estimating cost for a contractor bid or large job, contact our sales team for a detailed quote.
